Biography of Joseph A. Peduzzi, Esq.
Mr. Peduzzi is an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated personal injury lawyer. He has been practicing personal injury litigation in South Florida since 1999. He is a member of the Florida Bar, in good standing, and has never been the subject of a consumer, bar or disciplinary complaint.
Mr. Peduzzi grew up in North Palm Beach, attending Cardinal Newman High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and received his Juris Doctorate at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
During law school, Mr. Peduzzi was a summer legal intern to the Honorable Ann E. Vitunac, United States Magistrate Judge. Mr. Peduzzi was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Academic Honor Society, and graduated with Honors in Juvenile Mediation.
Upon completion of law school, Mr. Peduzzi spent several years working for two insurance defense firms located in Miami and West Palm Beach, FL. During this time, he gained valuable insight into how "the other side" handles claims. In 2003, after a brief stint in a Jupiter personal injury firm, Mr. Peduzzi started his own firm handling insurance defense for a major insurance carrier. By 2005, Mr. Peduzzi decided that his skills would be better utilized representing those injured as a result of the negligence of others, and has been practicing plaintiff personal injury exclusively since that time.
Mr. Peduzzi is the recipient of numerous civic awards and commendations, having served as a board-member and officer for several governmental, civic and charitable organizations. Mr. Peduzzi is the retired Chief of Volunteers / Deputy Fire Chief of North Palm Beach, where he also served as a Reserve Police Officer.
Mr. Peduzzi is currently a member of the City of West Palm Beach Criminal Justice Advisory Committee (CJAC), and is a former member of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee. Mr. Peduzzi lives in Ibis Golf & Country Club with his wife, Erin, and daughter, Julia, where he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Property Association. Mr. & Mrs. Peduzzi are expecting their second child in February, 2013.
